Amongst the numerous species within the Phyllostomidae family, the genus Macrotus (commonly known as 'big-eared' bats) includes just two species: Macrotus waterhousii, spanning western, central, and southern Mexico, Guatemala, and some Caribbean islands, and Macrotus californicus, whose range encompasses the southwestern United States, the Baja California peninsula, and the Mexican state of Sonora. This research project involved the sequencing and assembly of the mitochondrial genome of Macrotus waterhousii, providing a comprehensive analysis of this genome and a detailed comparison to the congeneric M. californicus's mitochondrial genome. Following this, we analyzed the phylogenetic relationship of Macrotus within the Phyllostomidae family, utilizing protein-coding genes (PCGs). Mitochondrial genomes of M. waterhousii and M. californicus, rich in adenine and thymine bases, respectively measure 16792 and 16691 base pairs, respectively. Each genome encodes 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, and a non-coding control region, 1336 and 1232 base pairs long, respectively. The identical mitochondrial synteny observed in Macrotus aligns with the prior reports for all other members of its cofamily. All transfer RNAs, in the two species examined, display a conventional cloverleaf secondary structure, with the singular exception of trnS1, which is lacking its dihydrouridine arm. In a collection of 52 studies focusing on exercise therapy for hip-related pain, 23 were suitable for synthesis; a notable 29 studies failed to provide specifics regarding the implemented exercise therapy. Two additional isomeric systems are applied to augment this in-depth study presented here. The reported correlation between melting point and glass formation among isomeric molecules is surprisingly not consistently supported by the findings. Enhanced glass formability in molecules is invariably accompanied by a low melting entropy. Investigations into isomeric molecular structures reveal that a low melting entropy frequently accompanies a low melting point, thus accounting for the observed link between melting point and glass formation. Systematic viscosity measurements of isomeric compounds reveal a strong dependence of melting viscosity on the entropy of melting. Substantial evidence from these results points to the importance of melting entropy in influencing the glass-forming properties of substances.
